Since 1910, Le Roux has been a specialist and leading distributor of disposables and packaging, supplying institutions, public authorities, commercial kitchens, caterers, hotels, industry and hospitality businesses across the Benelux.

The savings and result

Le Roux Disposables built a completely new 3,000-square-metre facility with underfloor heating, skylights, wide aisles and high-quality lighting.

A lighting plan determined that 48-watt linear lights with a 90-degree distribution were the best solution. Warehouses such as Le Roux require 200 lux at floor level.

Van der Graaf Installatie from Groningen completed the installation. The linear lights produce 160 lumens per watt and achieve over 200 lux in every aisle.

The loading area uses 150-watt SmiLED Hi-Bays, easily achieving the required 500 lux.

From lighting plan to final result

Because the hall was newly built, a lighting plan was used to calculate precisely which lighting was most suitable based on the floor plan and exact room height.

Before calculating the lighting, we map the shelving and activities in each area to establish the required lux levels. Le Roux’s second hall has since also been fitted with SmiLED linear lighting by Van der Graaf.
